Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury is a one-of-a-kind state of the art Skilled Nursing Facility located in Lake Katrine 5 minutes off of exit 19 on the New York State Thruway. Northeast Center offers programs not found in any other nursing home in the region.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor for current notes in medical record by all disciplines; notifies responsible disciplines if discrepancies are noted.
- Cull (thin) medical records periodically and upon discharge; organize medical records in accordance with established medical record policies and procedures
- Prepare all new admission medical records.
- Answer telephone, take messages, may call physicians for non-emergency communications or as directed by charge nurse.
- Answer resident/patient call bells; arrange for assistance from appropriate staff if necessary.
- Monitor and log needed repairs on unit.
- Assist with transfer of residents/patients as needed (i.e. Dining Room, Rehabilitative services, etc).
- Accompany residents/patients to outside facility appointments.
Requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have 2 years clerical experience, including appointment setting and transportation coordination
- Must have basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Must have excellent communication and phone skills
- Must have excellent customer relations experience with residents, co-workers and families
- Able to maintain professional demeanor and attitude at all times, including crisis situations
- Be accurate, organized and strong follow up skills
- Able to handle confidential information.

- Rate will be commensurate with experience.
