Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for obstetric patients across labor, delivery, and postpartum periods; monitor maternal and fetal status and respond to changes
- Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders; assist with labor progression and delivery as needed
- Support newborn care including immediate neonatal assessment, Apgar scoring, and lactation support; promote breastfeeding and family education
- Collaborate with obstetric team, midwives, neonatology, and ancillary staff; document care and events in the electronic medical record (Meditech Expanse strongly preferred)
- Monitor safety and infection control standards; respond to obstetric emergencies and escalate to the team when appropriate
- Assist with discharge planning, patient education, and coordination of follow-up care

Requirements
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license; must be uploaded
- Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency license (Nursing Pool) required up front and uploaded
- Certifications: Active ACLS, BLS, and NRP required; must be uploaded
- Experience: Minimum 2 years current Labor and Delivery experience
- Education: RN degree in nursing; MA licensure documented
- Additional: Ability to work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit; 36-hour night schedule; own vehicle for travel; RTO requests must be noted at submission and will not be approved after offer
