Operations Manager

Principal Duties and Responsibilities Oversee ongoing technician training, coaching, development, and regular cadence of accountability to maximize technician success and retention. Recruit and hire residential and/or commercial pest, termite, specialty, and lawn technicians to maintain appropriate staffing levels. Review and evaluate ongoing technician performance through ride‑a‑longs and audits. Respond diligently and compassionately to customer concerns to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. Ensure overall service quality and adherence to customer expectations. Fill in temporarily on customer appointments to close any staffing gaps. Monitor branch scheduling to ensure appointments are completed efficiently and effectively. Ensure safety standards are met or exceeded and that all operations remain in regulatory compliance. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of pest and termite control supplies. Candidate Summary Adept at problem solving and identifying practical solutions. Ability to lead and motivate others effectively. Proficiency in basic/intermediate math for sales/service calculations. Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. Ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers and employees. High school diploma (or GED) required; certifications and licenses maintained as required. Valid driver’s license required. Physical Demands / Environmental Conditions Moving up to 20 lbs by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or repositioning objects. Frequent sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Working in damp/dusty locations, confined spaces, narrow aisles, and passageways. Requires use of ladders, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and motor vehicles. Must wear PPE, including OSHA‑compliant respirators. Tolerates a range of environmental conditions, including extreme heat/cold. Flexible with scheduling, including evening, weekend, on‑call, and peak‑season extended hours. Travel up to 100% within assigned territories.
