We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to support a growing cleaning organization in Amityville, New York. This role will lead core HR operations across office and field teams, helping the business maintain compliance, strengthen employee support, and build effective hiring and onboarding practices. The ideal candidate brings sound judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage employee matters with professionalism and discretion.

Responsibilities:
• Interpret employment regulations and workplace policies, then communicate expectations clearly to managers and employees to support ongoing compliance.
• Uphold company handbook standards and ensure policies and procedures are consistently applied across both office and field staff.
• Partner with department leaders to identify hiring needs, evaluate required qualifications, and manage full-cycle recruitment for open positions.
• Coordinate pre-employment processes such as background screening and work authorization verification to support compliant hiring decisions.
• Lead onboarding activities for new employees, including orientation and introduction to workplace practices for office and field team members.
• Develop and administer programs that promote employee recognition, engagement, and a positive workplace culture.
• Support the administration of HR programs related to performance management, employee development, workplace investigations, disciplinary action, and conflict resolution.
• Work with teams to gather incident documentation and process matters involving workers’ compensation, leave administration, disability cases, and other employee support needs.
• Respond to employment-related questions from candidates, employees, and supervisors, escalating sensitive or complex concerns when appropriate.
• Participate in investigations, disciplinary discussions, and separation processes, including coordinating terminations for office and field employees.• Proven experience in human resources management, including employee relations and day-to-day HR administration.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, policy enforcement, and HR compliance practices.
• Experience supporting recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding for multiple types of roles.
• Familiarity with benefits-related processes, leave administration, and workers’ compensation coordination.
• Working knowledge of HRIS platforms and the ability to maintain accurate employee records.
• Ability to manage sensitive employee matters with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across office and field environments.
