Registered Nurse - ICU/ED

Location: Southampton, NY

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7 PM - 7:30 AM, 3x12 hour shifts

Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the ICU/ED will utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care, ensuring all safety guidelines are followed. The role includes assessment, documentation, and intervention based on patient needs, along with effective communication with healthcare teams and patient advocacy.

Responsibilities:

• Collect relevant data regarding patient conditions and report critical values to physicians in a timely manner.
• Assess appropriate lab and diagnostic data, documenting physical assessments and identifying abnormalities.
• Develop personalized care plans based on patient needs.
• Perform nursing interventions as per hospital policy and patient needs.
• Evaluate patient outcomes against set goals.
• Maintain professional demeanor in all interactions.
• Float to ICU/CCU or ED as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current New York State nursing licensure.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, Moderate Sedation, and NIHSS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU and recent Emergency Department experience.
