Large Aircraft Spares Reachback and Structures Manager Company: The Boeing Company Location: Oklahoma City, OK Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to serve as the first line manager for Large Aircraft Spares Reachback and Structures. This role involves direct leadership of engineering and technical staff who support BGS Spares Engineering, working closely with Supply Chain Engineering and industry partners to develop safe, high‑quality and effective engineering solutions that meet the relevant requirements. Position Responsibilities Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in Mechanical & Structural Engineering, including drawing updates and 3D modeling tasks. Effectively plans and executes statement of work objectives—cost, schedule, technical and safety. Establishes, tracks and automates value‑added metrics to manage business performance. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Builds and maintains partnerships with team members, customers, stakeholders, peers and partners. Communicates effectively with team, leadership and stakeholders. Mentors, motivates and provides growth and development opportunities for the team. Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Material Sciences). 5+ years of engineering‑related experience. 1+ year of experience working with mechanical or structures related statements of work. At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temporary manager, large‑scale cross‑functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.” Preferred Qualifications Ability to collaborate to reach decisions acceptable to multiple organizations. Experience leading model‑based design engineering and digital engineering tasks. Root Cause Corrective Action experience utilizing BPSM. Experience identifying and implementing cost‑reduction initiatives. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Project management experience utilizing PMBOK and Boeing PMBP. Strong tactical decision‑making ability. Ability to communicate with senior and executive leadership. Pay & Benefits Pay Range: $128,350 – $173,650 (based on candidate experience and qualifications.)
