Dental Hygienist

Location: Auburn, NY | Schedule: Full-Time, On-Site, 4-Day Work Week (Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM–6:00 PM, 40 hours/week with a daily 12:00 PM–1:00 PM lunch break) | Compensation: Starting at $40,000 annually, based on a standard 40-hour workweek Overview A Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Auburn, NY is growing its community dental practice and seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join the team. Based in a newly built, modern health center equipped with up-to-date clinical tools, the hygienist will deliver preventative and therapeutic dental care to a diverse patient population, working a structured 4-day workweek with predictable 45-minute hygiene appointments. What you'll do Deliver comprehensive oral hygiene treatments, including adult and pediatric prophylaxes, periodontal scaling and root planing, fluoride applications, and dental sealants Conduct oral screenings, periodontal probing, and intraoral assessments; capture diagnostic digital X-rays and document findings accurately Educate patients on customized oral hygiene techniques, post-treatment care, and nutritional habits to support long-term oral health Manage a structured patient load scheduled every 45 minutes, ensuring punctual, comfortable care delivery Maintain strict sterilization and infection control standards in compliance with OSHA, CDC, and HIPAA regulations Collaborate with dentists, dental assistants, and administrative staff using electronic dental software (Dentrix/MEDENT) to manage records and follow-up scheduling Required qualifications Active and unrestricted Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license and Dental License in the State of New York Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with a warm, patient-centered approach Strong organizational ability, ethical standards, and meticulous recordkeeping skills Preferred qualifications Infection Control certification preferred 1+ years of hands-on experience using Dentrix or MEDENT practice management software highly preferred Compensation and benefits Starting salary of $40,000 annually, based on a standard 40-hour workweek; final placement within the range depends on clinical experience, software background, and overall qualifications NHSC-approved clinical site providing eligibility for federal Loan Repayment Programs Employer-sponsored 401(k) retirement plan with 100% match up to 4% of employee contributions Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage (eligible the 1st of the month following hire), Health Savings Account (HSA), and Life Insurance Generous accrued PTO bank plus 9 Observed Holidays and 2 Floating Holidays annually Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and employer-provided choice of clinical tools and instruments Why this role This position offers a predictable 4-day workweek, a brand-new clinical facility with modern equipment, and the ability to choose preferred instruments and product lines for patient care. #J-18808-Ljbffr Software Placement Group
