Accounts Receivable Clerk

salary: $26 - $28 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

• Processing, verifying, and posting customer payments (cash, checks, ACH, credit cards) accurately and timely.

• Preparing, issuing, and delivering accurate customer invoices and billing statements.

• Monitoring account receivables to identify outstanding balances and overdue accounts.

• Conducting polite, professional collection calls and emails to resolve delinquent accounts.

• Performing daily cash applications and reconciling customer bank accounts/ledgers.

• Researching and resolving payment discrepancies, short payments, and billing disputes.

• Maintaining precise accounting records, aging reports, and customer account files.

• Assisting the finance team with month-end closing procedures and audit requests.

Qualifications & Skills We Look For

• Experience: 1–3+ years of experience in accounts receivable, general accounting, or billing.

• Education: High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is a plus.

• Software: Proficiency in Accounting/ERP software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables).

• Skills: High attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
