Office Address: About the Opportunity A growing, patient-focused dental organization is seeking an experienced Insurance Coordinator to join its team. What You’ll Do As the Insurance Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of insurance claims, patient billing, and accounts receivable. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the practice while ensuring a seamless experience for patients and providers alike. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and submit accurate dental insurance claims and predeterminations (electronic and paper). Follow up on unpaid claims, rejections, and predeterminations, ensuring timely resolution. Communicate with insurance companies regarding eligibility and benefits. Maintain monthly billing statements and patient accounts. Contact patients regarding outstanding balances and coordinate payment plans. Manage accounts receivable, collections, and determine accounts for agency placement when necessary. Professionally answer incoming calls and assist in routing to the correct department. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the billing and operations team. What You Bring Minimum 1 year of dental or medical billing experience (required). Strong understanding of insurance processes, benefits, and collections. Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and electronic. High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). A professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude. Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required). Additional coursework or certification in billing, finance, or healthcare administration (preferred). Passionate about accuracy and patient satisfaction. Skilled at navigating complex insurance systems and resolving issues efficiently. A team player who enjoys collaboration but can also work independently.
