About the Position

Start Date: ASAP – October 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, 6:15 AM – 4:45 PM. Call coverage required 2 days per week and every third weekend. Float to main OR as needed based on volume. Weekend requirement: every third weekend.

Highlights:

• Specialized cardiovascular surgical experience with advanced procedures including CABG, valve replacements, aortic dissections, TAVR, laser lead extractions, and thoracic cases
• ECMO and Impella experience utilized in clinical practice
• Patient ratio of 1:1 with approximately 6 cases per day across 3 operating rooms
• Epic charting system and Pyxis medication management
• 24 hours of orientation provided based on experience level
• Contract extensions available through February 2026

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• ECMO and Impella experience required
• Experience with cardiovascular procedures including CABG, valve repairs/replacements, aortic surgeries, carotid endarterectomy, and thoracic procedures
• Proficiency with Epic documentation preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Willingness to participate in emergency response teams during catastrophic events or disasters
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate clinical experience
