It serves over‑age, under‑credited students who deserve rigorous academic pathways alongside comprehensive wrap‑around support. The Moment BSA is in an active turnaround phase focused on stabilization, systems building, and a cultural reset. Our Social Workers will join a dedicated team that implements coherent, urgent, and measurable systems to transform BSA for the students and families we serve. The Opportunity Build: Strengthen student support systems and enhance partnerships with students, families, school staff, and community partners. Lead: Implement universal and targeted interventions to meet student needs and create a meaningful impact. Key Responsibilities Supervision and Training: Provide individual and group clinical supervision to a dedicated team of social workers; monitor service quality through case consultation, documentation review, data collection, and coordination with school staff and community partners. Deliver High‑Quality Counseling Services: Offer individual and group counseling for grades 9‑12, including mandated services for students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP). Use evidence‑based, data‑driven interventions to support personal goals and address social, emotional, behavioral challenges. Employ a person‑centered, strengths‑based, anti‑oppressive approach. Assessments & Case Management: Administer screeners and assessments to guide diagnosis, treatment, goals, and interventions; maintain progress notes, complete IEP counseling reports, conduct classroom observations, and coordinate referrals. Collaborate with Community Members: Communicate regularly with school staff, families, and key stakeholders; participate in IEP meetings, child study team meetings, case conferences, and collaborate with the psychiatry team at The Door. Provide Crisis Intervention: Serve as a frontline crisis responder; address mental health and behavioral crises, de‑escalate situations, conduct suicide and homicide risk assessments, and create and maintain safety plans. Schoolwide Engagement: Attend regular schoolwide meetings and professional development opportunities; chaperone after‑school activities and student trips; participate in planning and implementation of The Door and BSA’s annual mental health wellness day, monthly assemblies, and other social‑emotional learning initiatives. What We’re Looking For We seek a compassionate, highly skilled social worker eager to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of adolescent development, trauma‑informed care, and crisis intervention. Qualifications Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required. 4+ years of clinical experience in mental health, preferably in school settings. Strong crisis intervention, de‑escalation, and trauma‑informed care skills. Experience working with adolescents from diverse backgrounds, including foster care, homelessness, and systemic barriers. Familiarity with restorative justice practices, special education support (IEPs), and mandated counseling is highly valued. Excellent communication, advocacy, and collaboration skills.
