East Florida Eye Institute is seeking an experienced Assistant Front Office Manager to support the daily operations of our ophthalmology practice. This position assists with front-office workflow, staff training, patient experience initiatives, scheduling oversight, and administrative operations while ensuring exceptional service for our patients.

Qualifications

Ophthalmology experience required.

Experience with Nextech EMR/PM preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of medical office experience.

Previous supervisory, team lead, or management experience preferred.

Strong understanding of patient scheduling, insurance verification, referrals, and authorizations.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in overseeing daily front-office operations.

Support staff training and cross-training initiatives.

Monitor scheduling and patient flow.

Assist with quality assurance and patient service standards.

Help maintain operational efficiency and workflow processes.

Provide coverage and support for all front-office functions as needed.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining exceptional patient service.
