Full-Time Custodian

Custodian PositionFull-time permanent custodian position available immediately! Empty all trash containers as needed; properly dispose of trash. Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop & dust all classrooms and offices on a rotating basis. Mop cafeteria & lounge floors & clean all tables thoroughly daily. Vacuum all office areas, including Audiology, Entrance area, and Hallway rugs. Dust offices (except desks or personal items) and classrooms as needed. Clean blackboards and/or dry-erase boards daily as needed. Sweep hallway floors daily. Clean glass doors and other glass office dividers/windows weekly. Clean & sanitize restrooms, including all toilets, sinks, towel dispensers, mirrors, and floors daily; re-stock toilet paper, soap dispensers, and paper towels daily. Clean windows inside and out throughout building at least monthly as weather permits. Clean walls as needed. Ensure that all office doors, outside doors, and windows are closed and secured, and all lights except for those left on for security reasons are turned off daily. Assist maintenance/custodian in mowing, shoveling, and other grounds-keeping duties. Assist maintenance/custodian in basic construction projects, including painting. Maintain an organized storage of excess furniture, equipment, and supplies. Ensure proper storage of all materials and supplies. Keep all dangerous materials, chemicals, tools, etc. out-of-reach of students. Lift, move, and carry office and classroom furniture upon request. Set up/clean up conference room upon request. Respond promptly to clean up spills or vomit or to assist in emergency situations. Perform other pertinent duties as assigned by Director, Principal, or Office Manager.
