Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) provides immediate, high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing patient care while collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform comprehensive patient assessments upon arrival and develop individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Implement nursing procedures and interventions, adjusting care plans based on ongoing evaluations.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care accurately and consistently to ensure seamless information flow within the healthcare team.
  
  
• 
  Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to promote a safe, supportive healing environment.
  
  
• 
  Maintain safety standards by reporting hazards, correcting safety issues, and adhering to protocols.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a valid Illinois RN license in good standing.
  
  
• 
  Have a minimum of three (3) years of relevant nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Possess current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
  
  
• 
  Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system required.
  
  
• 
  Previous trauma level 2 or higher ER experience preferred.
