Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored treatment plans that address individual needs and circumstances, including crisis intervention strategies, risk assessments, and medication plans.

• Document client interactions and clinical progress consistently and in compliance with regulatory guidelines, ensuring that all records are accurately maintained.

• Utilize evidence-based screening instruments as recommended by the clinical team to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment strategies.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to establish and implement positive behavioral support plans aimed at enhancing client outcomes and overall well-being.

• Actively participate in accreditation processes and quality improvement initiatives as part of ongoing compliance with agency standards.

• Serve as a liaison to service systems, including state agencies and local community partners, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

• Facilitate open communication channels among team members and stakeholders to uphold contract standards and successfully promote our mission in the community.

• Engage in professional development activities such as attending workshops, conferences, and other educational opportunities to stay informed on best practices in geriatric mental health.

• Promote agency values throughout your work, advocating for optimal mental health services for seniors.

• Complete any additional responsibilities as assigned by the Clinic Director that support the overall objectives of the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with elderly patients facing various challenges, including grief, adjustment disorders due to life transitions, and other age-related mental health concerns. Your empathetic interactions will nurture a safe atmosphere where clients feel valued and understood, encouraging open dialogue about their mental and emotional health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.

• Minimum of four years of experience in mental health counseling, particularly focusing on geriatric clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
