About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Float Pool Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must have 2 years of telemetry experience. Prior neuro experience preferred. Description: Candidates must float throughout the designated zone. The position includes general medical-surgical telemetry duties. Patient ratios are 1:5-6 based on acuity. Floating may occur within various specialties, including cardiac, neuro, oncology, and ortho. The schedule will follow one of two formats: 1. Scheduled at a single facility for the week with potential floating within that facility. 2. Just-In-Time assignments communicated shortly before shift start. Weekend shifts will be required, totaling 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule. Holiday rotation may be required. Charge Nurses do not typically take patient assignments unless necessary. Nurse Aids will be available on the unit. Registered Nurses may be required to titrate specific drips. All time-off requests must be submitted prior to starting the assignment. Shifts are assigned based on flexibility and needs determined by leadership. Designated dress code allows for any color scrubs. Units include various acuity levels, including ICU and step-down, and may vary based on assignment. Documentation will be conducted through an electronic charting system. Cancelling policies allow for a limited number of shifts to be canceled during the assignment.
