About the Position

Job Title

Contract | Travel | Days | 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients in a 40-bed PACU unit, maintaining a 1:2 patient ratio
• Monitor and manage patients on ventilators and other standard PACU equipment
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records system
• Float within the peri-anesthesia service line, including Endoscopy, Pre-Op, and Phase II areas as needed
• Participate in on-call rotation, fulfilling 3 call shifts per 6-week scheduling cycle
• Collaborate with PCTs, HUCs, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe and effective patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale experience
• Proficiency with ventilator monitoring
• Ability to adhere to required dress code: surgical green or navy scrubs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma nursing experience
• Pediatric nursing experience
• Familiarity with Cerner documentation system
