Geriatrics Physician Assistant

Physician Assistant - Geriatrics Fayetteville, North Carolina Key Candidate Requirements

Licensure: Must be a PA licensed in North Carolina
Experience: Minimum prior clinical experience required ; fresh graduates not accepted
Certifications: Current BLS/ACLS required
Availability: Full-time, participation in on-call rotation
Visa Status: PERM only ; no locums or visa candidates

Clinical Role

Collaborate with PACE physicians to deliver high-quality primary care to geriatric patients
Perform initial, semi-annual, annual, and as-needed participant assessments
Develop individualized care plans within the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) framework
Manage acute illnesses and chronic conditions
Provide preventive care (screenings, immunizations, monitoring)
Prescribe medications and therapies appropriately
Refer patients to specialists when needed
Participate in discharge planning and transitions of care
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and health management
Contribute to development of clinical policies, procedures, and care standards
Participate in staff education, training, and IDT meetings
Maintain accurate, compliant clinical documentation
Ensure adherence to all regulatory and organizational policies

Practice Setting

Patient Population: Geriatric patients in a PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) setting
Team: Collaborative interdisciplinary team focused on patient-centered care
