Job Overview As a Direct Support Professional at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, you will work with dedicated professionals to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities lead meaningful lives. Opportunities to learn and grow in the behavioral health field Comprehensive training in crisis prevention/intervention, trauma‑informed care, CPR, and first aid Flexible schedules that accommodate school, family commitments, or other employment Responsibilities Assist in daily living activities—including health and hygiene management, cooking, cleaning, recreation, and documentation such as shift reports, incident reports, and progress reports. Maintain a safe and therapeutic treatment environment that meets the physical, emotional, and personal needs of each resident. Physical & Work Environment Significant walking, sitting, and standing. Lifting up to 75‑100 lbs and handling resistance during physical intervention techniques. Occasional computer use and driving. Protective equipment such as latex gloves, face mask, eyewear, and gown. Possible exposure to blood‑borne pathogens.
