Job Summary:
The operating room (OR) open heart surgical technologist role is based in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. This position involves supporting cardiovascular operating room procedures with a focus on open heart surgeries. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The role demands a minimum of two years of cardiovascular operating room experience and certification in the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). The work schedule consists of eight-hour shifts, including call every third day and potential involvement in two weekend shifts per month.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Five 8-hour shifts with call every third day and potential for two weekends per month, with a 30-minute response time required. Minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in NBSTSA and BLS; minimum of 2 years CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) experience; Epic EMR experience; active Pennsylvania license; ability to care for COVID patients; no license hits accepted; harder stop at 50-mile radius for local candidates (who may be offered at a lower clinical rate).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CVORS, EPIC EMR system; familiarity with advanced cardiac procedures and equipment listed in the skills section.
• Additional Information: Candidate may be asked to float to general operating rooms if needed; must adhere to tobacco and fragrance-free environment policies; vaccinations required include COVID-19 and influenza vaccines; must provide documentation of mammography experience if applicable; EKG exam completion within 72 hours of signing the travel contract may be required.
