Position Description Shifts will vary approximately 4–6 hours per day (including practices and game coverage as assigned). Reports To Head Athletic Trainer Job Responsibilities Provide on‑site athletic training coverage for practices, competitions, and events as assigned. Evaluate, treat, and manage athletic injuries in accordance with established protocols. Assist with injury prevention strategies, including taping, bracing, and warm‑up oversight. Administer therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation exercises under the direction of the Head Athletic Trainer. Respond to emergency situations and provide appropriate first aid and acute care. Communicate effectively with coaches, athletes, and athletic training staff regarding injury status and participation. Maintain accurate and timely injury documentation and treatment records. Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe athletic training environment. Adhere to institutional policies, departmental procedures, and applicable governing body regulations. Requirements NATABOC certified, NY State licensed or eligible. CPR / AED certified. Strong computer, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to travel, work evenings, weekends and some holidays as needed. Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred in Athletic Training or related field. 2+ years of experience in higher education or professional sports setting. Possess a valid driver’s license. Ability to lift equipment on occasion and work in various environmental conditions. Ability to foster positive relationships and create partnerships with a wide range of constituent groups. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, strong attention to detail and keep specific timelines. Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to problem solve.
