This position is not benefit eligible.Weisman Children's is a highly-acclaimed, community-based pediatric organization consisting of an acute care rehabilitation hospital, outpatient rehabilitation centers, and medical day care centers. We are an equal opportunity employer.POSITION SUMMARY:The Occupational Therapist is an integral member of the Interdisciplinary Team, responsible for the administration of appropriate treatment techniques and modalities for pediatric rehabilitation of children aged birth to 21Responsible for adherence to the scope and standards of practice as defined by the American Occupational Therapy AssociationUses creativity, professional judgment, and problem solving techniques to achieve quality outcomes.Participates in patient and family teaching and works collaboratively with other disciplines.The OT plays an integral role in facilitating functional performance through the integration of physical skills, play based activities, social-emotional development, sensory processing, motor performance, and cognitive abilities.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:MA/MS/MOT in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA accredited programNJ OT licensure or eligibility for licensure1-2 years of pediatric OT experienceExperience with treating sensory processing disorders in an outpatient setting preferredExperience working with neurological and vestibular diagnoses preferred, however, willing to trainCPR certificationStrong organizational / time management skillsGood oral and written communication skillsAbility to work well as a team member
