Duties Provide comprehensive and skilled psychological evaluations and treatment services to individuals, couples, groups, and families receiving services for problems of personality, emotional adjustments, or mental illness. Administer, score, interpret psychological tests and conduct tests for differentiating between organic and functional causes of emotional disturbances and/or behaviors. Provide assessment, diagnosis and psychotherapy utilizing a broad range of therapeutic techniques as indicated by the specific needs of the individual, group or family. Ensure completeness, timeliness, diagnostic and therapeutic pertinence and maintenance of clinical psychology professional standard of care for services and reports. Provide thorough and concise written documentation of evaluations, treatment and case management services, psychological test summaries, treatment plans, referrals, and correspondence. Offer consultative services to providers and team members such as primary care, ER, dental, and allied professionals, providing advice on diagnosis, assessment, treatment, and referrals for patients presenting with behavioral health concerns. Requirements Applicant must obtain and maintain medical staff clinical privileges, including any licensure requirements. Failure to do so may result in adverse actions, up to removal from federal service. Compliance with the IHS Employee Immunization Policy for vaccine‑preventable diseases is required. Vaccine exemption requests are available as outlined in the policy and facility guidance. U.S. Citizenship is required. Selective Service Registration is required for males born after December 31, 1959. The position is covered by Public Law 101‑630 and requires no criminal convictions related to certain crimes. On‑call hours or standby duty may be required. The position may involve rotating shifts: days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Applicants must pass an E‑Verify employment verification check. Completion of a federal background investigation and financial suitability requirement is mandatory. Qualifications Resume must demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties of this position. Experience includes paid, unpaid, volunteer, and other relevant work. Duties must be clearly described with total hours per week. Basic Requirements Ph.D. or equivalent in Clinical Psychology or directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. Minimum Qualifications GS‑12: One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the federal service, in either the private or public sector, performing the following: Providing clinical psychological services including evaluation, diagnosis, referral, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and specialized treatment modalities for mental health problems of children, adolescents, adults, and families. Assessing high‑acuity (crisis) patients regarding level of care dispositions based on direct patient examinations. Making decisions with consultation on whether high‑acuity patients require transfer to the Emergency Room or to a higher level of care such as an inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. GS‑13: One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the federal service, performing the following: Making diagnosis or treatment decisions based on trauma‑informed care practices. Providing immediate care and services to individuals in trauma, anxiety, or psychotic crisis states. Providing crisis intervention services in a variety of situations, including suicide intervention, drug & alcohol abuse, and domestic violence. Conducting psychological tests/objective measures as a source of information for diagnosing conditions such as psychosis, Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, etc. Selective Factor Must possess and maintain a current, valid, unrestricted license as a psychologist in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory. #J-18808-Ljbffr
