Epidemiology Study Operations Manager

AbbVie seeks an Epidemiology Study Operations Manager in Chicago to oversee non-interventional research studies and vendor management within the Clinical Sciences Product Office. The role bridges epidemiology and product safety teams to ensure regulatory compliance and deliver study objectives throughout the research lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Strategically manage and oversee epidemiology-led non-interventional studies with increasing autonomy
• Support study leaders with vendor selection, contracting, and external CRO oversight
• Develop project plans, timelines, and study deliverables while tracking completion and escalating risks
• Maintain regulatory and process timelines; coordinate protocol development and document approvals
• Monitor study budgets, prepare stakeholder updates, and identify operational efficiency opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in biological, medical science, or healthcare field
• 6+ years healthcare, research institution, or pharmaceutical industry experience
• Minimum 2 years driving project management or operations in global organizations
• Proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, and clinical trial management systems
• Preferred experience in drug development, non-interventional studies, or pharmacovigilance
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build cross-functional relationships
• Capability to adopt process and technology changes
