About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Carrier Relations to spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive carrier relationship strategy. This executive leader will be the primary liaison with carrier partners, driving strategic partnerships, negotiating agreements, and expanding market access. The role is pivotal in ensuring the company's long-term growth and profitability by leading initiatives that optimize carrier economics, strengthen market relationships, and create operational efficiencies. The successful candidate will also be responsible for leading a team, establishing departmental KPIs, and partnering with executive leadership to identify strategic growth opportunities. Key responsibilities for the Vice President of Carrier Relations include leading the enterprise carrier optimization strategy, building and maintaining executive-level relationships, and leading annual business planning and performance reviews. The role also involves negotiating carrier appointments, agency agreements, and strategic partnership terms, as well as evaluating carrier performance and developing placement strategies. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience, at least 10 years in the insurance industry, and a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role. A strong background in negotiating carrier partnerships and a Property & Casualty License are required, along with exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills. The position demands a high level of executive presence and the ability to travel approximately 25-30% of the time.
