Production Assistant

• Overview

  Consistently and accurately packages coffee and maintains a clean and efficient roastery. Assists the lead roaster in the daily roasting of coffee and the maintenance of equipment in the roastery.

  Essential Responsibilities:

  • Weighs, bags, grinds, labels, and packs packages coffee.
  • Assist in the roasting preparation and production.
    • Lifting of green, feeding beans into the hopper, oversight of the roaster profiles and schedule.
  • Performs routine cleaning and maintenance of all coffee roastery & production equipment

  Other Responsibilities:

  • Participates in daily cupping to ensure quality output.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Assists in the shipping of goods as needed
  • Communicates inventory levels to the manager.

  Position Requirements:

  Skills:

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Able to stand for 6 to 8 hours a day.
  • Able to work in a warm/hot environment.
  • Thoroughness, high productivity standards, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  Education:

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D. or 1- 2 years equivalent applicable work experience

  Experience:

  • No prior experience necessary other than the strong desire to work.

Salary/Compensation: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
