Production Director

The Executive Director of Production and Distribution is tasked with optimizing output and reducing operational expenses. This is achieved by championing continuous improvement across distribution and production workflows, refining training programs, maximizing MRP system utility, enhancing equipment reliability, and maintaining rigorous safety and documentation standards. Professional Requirements We prefer candidates with a minimum of ten years of experience in distribution and manufacturing management. A four-year degree in engineering is required, with a preference for mechanical or electrical disciplines. An advanced degree in business administration, engineering management, or manufacturing is highly desirable. Expertise in automated material handling, functional testing, solder reflow, surface mount assembly, and in-circuit testing is preferred. Candidates should possess sharp analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities. You must demonstrate sound judgment when prioritizing tasks and maintain composure under pressure. Strong interpersonal skills are essential to influence others and foster collaboration toward organizational objectives. You should be an effective communicator capable of presenting manufacturing strategies and leading lean manufacturing training for hourly staff. Proficiency with computer applications including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and MRP II software is required. We seek individuals who are ethically grounded and committed to upholding our core values. The ability to accept and grow from constructive feedback is vital. You must maintain an exceptional record of attendance, with a minimum requirement of 98%. Develop robust measurement tools to analyze process repeatability and gauge the effectiveness of internal and external operations. Establish and maintain ongoing performance metrics to track the health of our manufacturing and distribution systems. Identify and capitalize on improvement opportunities to ensure our production capabilities consistently hit key performance targets. Foster a safer, more organized facility by leading projects that reduce rework and scrap while improving inventory accuracy and ergonomics. Empower our workforce by providing the necessary training and resources to ensure team members succeed in meeting company goals. Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement by motivating and encouraging staff members across all levels of the organization. Partner with design engineering to provide early input on manufacturability, ensuring new products launch smoothly and efficiently. Maintain strict adherence to corporate, HAZMAT, and ISO standards while ensuring all process documentation remains current. Take ownership of resolving complex challenges within the distribution and manufacturing environments. Serve as a key member of the Corporate Leadership Team, setting a positive example through ethical decision-making and policy compliance. Ensure full compliance with all established DMP Data Classification Standards. Remain adaptable to evolving job duties as determined by senior leadership.
