We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to support a busy litigation practice in Newport Beach, California. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and wants meaningful involvement in complex civil matters. The role offers hands-on participation across the full lifecycle of cases, with a focus on commercial, business, real estate, and related disputes handled throughout California.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee litigation files from initial intake through resolution, ensuring each matter progresses efficiently at every stage.
• Prepare and organize written discovery, including drafting responses and requests such as interrogatories, admissions, and document demands.
• Create, revise, and finalize legal documents for filing, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and other case-related materials.
• Coordinate the collection, review, and production of records and documents to support litigation strategy and compliance obligations.
• Maintain case calendars, monitor court deadlines, and track key dates to keep matters on schedule.
• Support attorneys with depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial readiness by assembling materials and coordinating logistics.
• Compile exhibit sets, witness materials, and hearing or trial binders for use in proceedings.
• Conduct legal and factual research to assist with case development, motion practice, and overall litigation preparation.
• Submit filings through California state and federal e-filing systems and liaise with courts, clients, experts, and outside counsel as needed.• At least 3 years of experience working as a paralegal in California civil litigation.
• Solid understanding of California court procedures, filing requirements, and litigation deadlines.
• Hands-on experience with discovery management, trial preparation, and day-to-day case coordination.
• Proficiency in electronic filing for both California state and federal courts.
• Background supporting business, commercial, real estate, or comparable litigation matters is strongly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency with case management software and the ability to stay highly organized across competing priorities.
