Field Mechanic - CES

Overview Field Diesel Mechanic – Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech III - Field Service - CES) at United Rentals. Perform maintenance and repairs of complex equipment on customer owned equipment with minimal supervision, ensuring safe, skilled, and professional service. Responsibilities Safely maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of customer equipment and tools using independent judgment. Maintain accurate paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) on a daily basis. Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers. Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of customer owned equipment and maintain a clean, professional service vehicle. Assist with pick‑up and delivery of equipment and parts as assigned. Carry out other duties as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. 3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools. Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools. Knowledge of construction equipment and strong mechanical background on various engines. Owns tools applicable to the position. Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills. Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs. frequently. Position is deemed safety‑sensitive per United Rentals’ policies and procedures.
