About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Facilities Management and Campus Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance, grounds, and custodial operations across multiple campuses. This includes managing the campus utility infrastructure and leading the development of short and long-term energy strategies to reduce consumption while ensuring high-quality, reliable, and affordable utilities. The role also involves functional areas such as preventive maintenance, building services, waste management, recycling, and security systems. The Associate Vice President will be a key figure in negotiating contracts, managing a large staff, and addressing emergency situations. Additionally, the role requires participation in strategic decision-making, particularly in the implementation of sustainability initiatives. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field, with a master's degree preferred, and at least 10 years of experience in building operation and maintenance, including significant management and supervisory experience. A working knowledge of capital construction and relevant building codes is essential. The role demands a leader who can interact with both internal and external customers, make presentations, and represent the company on various committees. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and strategic thinker, capable of formulating and implementing policies and procedures for facilities management, and will be committed to the values of the academic community.
