Production Process and Quality Co-op (Fall 2026)

Description The purpose of the position is an introduction to a hybrid quality and process engineering position in automotive manufacturing. This position will be a combination of small individual projects as well as shadowing current Quality Engineers and Process Engineers. The qualified co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions: Daily creation of 24-hour morning reports and continuous improvement of reporting. Daily attendance in dimensional and quality follow-up meetings. Shadowing current Quality Engineers and Process Engineers. Concept, design and construction of ergonomic and process improvement tools. Time studies for production process changes and feasibility reporting. Qualifications BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Software. Knowledge of quality tools preferred (PFMEA Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis , data analysis and statistical calculations) Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major) Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States. Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application. Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week). Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.

Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term. THE WORK TERM DATES ARE August 10th – December 11th, 2026. Must be an enrolled student during all three rotations.
