VP of Mortgage Operations

We are one of the fastest-growing Hispanic-owned mortgage companies in the region, serving clients through a full range of lending products including Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, Non-QM, DSCR, Bank Statement Loans, Hard Money, and Commercial Financing. We are seeking a highly experienced mortgage professional to become a key leader within our organization and act as a strategic partner to ownership. This is not a typical operations position. We need someone who can solve complex loan scenarios, support our loan officers and managers, assist with underwriting strategy, and help scale a growing organization! Responsibilities: Serve as an internal loan structuring expert for complex mortgage files. Review difficult scenarios and recommend solutions prior to underwriting. Support loan officers, processors, and managers with guideline interpretation. Assist in resolving loan conditions and underwriting challenges. Provide training and coaching to loan originators and team leaders. Develop and improve operational workflows. Help manage lending operations across multiple teams. Serve as an escalation point for difficult borrower and loan situations. Work closely with ownership to improve efficiency and production. Maintain knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, Conventional, Non-QM, Hard Money, and Commercial lending programs. Qualifications: Minimum 7+ years of mortgage industry experience. Experience with FHA, VA, USDA, Conventional, Jumbo and Non-QM products. Ability to structure difficult loan scenarios. Leadership experience managing mortgage teams. Strong understanding of income calculation, self-employed borrowers, investment properties, DSCR, and credit analysis. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
