As a Solutions Engineer, you'll be the technical voice of the sales team — running discovery, delivering demos, and leading proof-of-concept evaluations that show prospects how Snyk fits into their development and security workflows. This is a foundational technical pre-sales role where you'll build deep product expertise, sharpen your ability to translate technical capability into business value, and grow your career alongside experienced SE leadership across the AMER region. What You'll Do: Run technical discovery calls to understand a prospect's development environment, security posture, and priorities Deliver tailored product demonstrations that connect Snyk's capabilities to a prospect's specific technical needs Design and lead proof-of-concept (POC) evaluations, guiding prospects to a successful technical validation Partner with Account Executives to build and support technical champions within prospect organizations Respond to security questionnaires, RFPs, and RFIs with clear, accurate technical detail Build and maintain demo environments and POC infrastructure Relay customer and prospect feedback to Snyk's Product and Engineering teams What You Bring: 2-5 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or a related technical pre-sales role — or comparable experience in software development, DevOps, or security engineering A foundational understanding of the software development lifecycle, application security concepts, and/or cloud-native architectures Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences Experience running product demos and/or supporting technical proof-of-concepts A collaborative, curious mindset with a bias for action Based in the Northeast United States, or in Ontario or Quebec, Canada It'd Be Awesome If You Also... Have hands-on experience with LLMs or are exploring how AI-assisted coding impacts the security landscape Contribute to open-source projects or are an active voice in the developer/security community Genuinely enjoy digging into technical problems and explaining them simply Compensation Annual Base Salary Range: $106,400 – $133,000 Target Commission Range: $45,600 – $57,000 (at 100% attainment of sales) Snyk is committed to equal pay for equal work and carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors. Actual compensation may vary based on prior experience, skills, location, internal equity, and other job-related factors.
