Employment Specialist IV - Vocational Services Location: Portland, ME Facility: MaineHealth Corporate Schedule: Full Time Job Category: Professional - Nonclinical Req #: 80605 Date Posted: Jul 28, 2026 Summary: The Vocational Services Employment Specialist IV provides Individual Placement and Support (IPS ) supported employment services to individuals receiving public behavioral health services. Based at Spruwink in Portland, they work as part of the agency’s behavioral health team and as part of a statewide initiative to advance employment for individuals with mental illness. They also serve as a liaison to employers, developing business and community relationships in their local area. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education: Master's Degree in education, counseling, or social services or Bachelor's degree plus five years' experience in vocational counseling / rehabilitation required. License/Certifications: Current Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and/or DMH Employment Specialist Certification or obtain certification within six months from hire date required. Experience: Five years' experience in related field required.
