Technical Program Manager, Google Chat, Agentic Quality Workspace

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in program management. Experience in software development workflows (code review, testing) anddefine quality metrics for automated systems. Experience leading the end-to-end delivery and technical strategy for mobileand web applications, ensuring architectural alignment across Android, iOS,and Web platforms. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience building and scaling evaluation infrastructure for ML/AI systems,including benchmark design, metrics definition, and quality tracking. Experience owning quality and latency tracking systems, identifyingunderperforming capabilities and curating the optimal configuration. As a Google Chat Technical Program Manager driving Chat Agent Quality, you willjoin the organization to help build out the Chat infrastructure that willimprove Chat Agentic Quality, from helping transform our evaluationinfrastructure, dive into user feedback processing at scale, or drivingreliability and scalability efforts Chat grows, or supporting latency efforts.You are responsible for a large portfolio of infrastructure, and direction ofthe client and backend services that keeps Google Chat running reliably,performant, scalable and enables our developers to develop with high velocityand good experience. You will collaborate with talented engineering leads tounderstand and identify gaps and opportunities across our infrastructure anddrive projects throughout the project lifecycle. Manage project schedules,identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders andimproving processes. You will partner with other mission teams in Chat, anddrive cross-mission and cross-product collaborations. Identify trends and themes among project and team issues, and driveroot-cause analysis with the engineering, product, and UX teams. Address the challenges of scope creep, shifting priorities, and delayedtimelines while maintaining a clear focus on delivering results. Work withengineers and leadership to distill complex technical concepts intoactionable steps. Help bridge the gap between technical teams and executive leadership byshowcasing the impact of infrastructure work. Lead efforts to quantify andcommunicate the value of ongoing projects, helping secure buy-in, alignmenton direction and visibility.
