Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to work in our Neuro Stepdown and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. The ideal candidate will have strong neuro experience and be responsible for providing high-quality care to higher acuity neuroscience patients. This includes managing patients with EVDs, strokes, seizures, and post-craniotomy care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to patients in the Neuro Stepdown and EMU.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive patient management.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and care plans.
• Document patient care accurately using the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license with full stepdown qualifications.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications are required; ACLS preferred.
• Proven experience in neuro nursing and stroke patient care.
• Familiarity with titrating medications and managing complex care processes.
• Previous experience with EVDs and managing higher acuity patients is a plus.
