Key Responsibilities Conduct substantive legal research on issues arising in litigation matters. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents. Analyze case facts and applicable law to support litigation strategy. Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations. Assist with the preparation and presentation of client matters throughout the litigation process. Review and analyze contracts and transactional documents relevant to disputes. Identify contractual provisions and legal issues affecting client positions. Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation cases. Manage multiple active matters and competing deadlines effectively. Maintain organized case files and ensure timely completion of assignments. Communicate clearly and professionally with attorneys, clients, and other parties. Contribute to the development of practical strategies for resolving disputes. Qualifications 2–5 years of litigation experience. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. License to practice law in Michigan. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Strong legal research and legal writing capabilities. Proficiency with legal research tools and software. Ability to review and analyze contracts and transactional documents. Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively. Capacity to work independently while collaborating productively with senior attorneys and other team members. Construction Litigation Practice The firm's practice is centered on construction law, giving the associate exposure to legal issues affecting a broad range of construction‑industry participants. The firm's clients include developers, project owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors across multiple trades, and material suppliers.
