Inside Sales Executive Austin Astute Electronics Inc Austin, Texas, United States Sales About this position Astute Electronics, Inc. is a trusted global distributor of electronic components, specializing in supply chain solutions for industries such as aerospace, defense, and industrial manufacturing. Our Inside Sales Executives play a vital role in driving business growth, building client relationships, and identifying new opportunities. About the role The Inside Sales Executive is a key customer-facing role responsible for managing assigned core accounts while developing new business opportunities, with a focus on exceeding individual and team gross profit (GP) goals. The ISE will identify customer needs, present the company’s value proposition, and implement strategies to drive sales growth and profitability. This role includes autonomy in setting pricing, managing customer engagement strategies, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience. What you’ll do Drive demand creation for all Astute service offerings, focusing on new client acquisition. Prospect, qualify, and develop new customers, industries, and offerings. Respond promptly to all customer inquiries, including requests for quotes (RFQs). Expand business with target accounts and work to achieve AVL/PSL status. Determine appropriate resell pricing on customer quotes while maintaining healthy margins. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute strategies for new customer acquisition. Maintain and monitor sales pipeline, track performance metrics, and identify improvement opportunities. Provide excellent customer service, ensure timely delivery of orders, and troubleshoot any issues. Own the customer interface for credit and financial information, coordinating internal resources as needed. Utilize Excel for reporting, analysis, and maintaining accurate records for new and prospective accounts. Salesforce experience is desirable for tracking customer interactions, pipeline management, and performance metrics. Occasionally travel as required to meet new clients and develop business opportunities. Marginal Duties Undertake additional duties as reasonably required to support company operations. Comply with all reasonable directions given by the company while performing job responsibilities. Qualifications Passionate, opportunistic attitude with an entrepreneurial mindset. Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams to achieve results. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to build influential relationships and maintain excellent customer service. Strong negotiation skills with a focus on profitable outcomes. Knowledge of electronic components and understanding of the electronics manufacturing industry on a global scale. Expertise in customer relationship management, account qualification, and RFQ prioritization. Proficient in Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis; Salesforce experience is desirable. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications or experience preferred. Proven trading and negotiation experience within the electronics sector.
