Financial Controller

A leading manufacturing, wholesale, and e-commerce organization is looking for a Financial Controller to lead its accounting operations and help scale financial infrastructure across multiple revenue channels. This is a highly visible role working closely with executive leadership, offering the opportunity to own the accounting function while supporting a business that operates across e-commerce, wholesale, and licensing models. Key Responsibilities

• Accounting Operations & Close Leadership : Own full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger. Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis : Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and deliver clear, actionable insights to leadership to support business performance and decision-making.
• Revenue & Channel Accounting : Oversee revenue recognition and financial reporting across multiple channels, including direct-to-consumer, online marketplaces, and wholesale. Ensure accurate treatment of fees, returns, deductions, and related adjustments.
• Multi-Entity & Consolidations : Manage accounting across multiple entities, including intercompany transactions, allocations, and consolidated reporting.
• Cash Flow & Financial Planning : Monitor cash flow, support forecasting, and partner on budgeting and planning initiatives to ensure financial stability and scalability.
• Inventory & COGS Oversight : Ensure accurate inventory accounting and cost of goods sold reporting across various fulfillment and distribution channels.
• Systems & Process Improvement : Lead efforts to enhance accounting systems, reporting infrastructure, and internal controls. Support ERP optimization or implementation and drive process improvements.
• Compliance, Audit & External Partnerships : Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and service providers to ensure compliance and successful audit outcomes.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Experience : Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience within CPG, manufacturing, wholesale, or inventory driven businesses is required
• Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of GAAP and full-cycle accounting. Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar). Advanced Excel and financial analysis capabilities
• Core Competencies : Strong ownership mindset with the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on. Experience managing multi-entity structures and complex revenue streams preferred.
