Assistant Controller

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Assistant Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $95,000 to $140,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement changes.
• Manage the preparation of budgets, review budget proposals, and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Provide financial expertise and support for strategic initiatives.

Qualifications/Experience :

• BS degree Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• 5 to 7 years of Manufacturing experience in accounting and finance.
• Extensive experience in cost accounting, including standard costing, variance analysis, and cost control.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team.
