EHS SpecialistZanesville, Ohio, United StatesDescriptionAMG Vanadium (AMG V) is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist with prior management experience in this field to oversee the day-to-day activities, implementation, and administration of environmental, health and safety programs.Responsibilities and DutiesLead by example and comply with all AMG V safety and environmental requirements, policies, and procedures, including AMG's Code of Business ConductEmbrace and promote the AMG V culture in all day-to-day activities; foster and promote a positive, respectful work environment that is aligned with AMG's valuesEnsure workforce compliance with safety regulations (OSHA, NFPA, etc.), Environmental Regulatory and Permit Requirements, and company standardsDevelop and enforce site environmental and safety policies and proceduresPromote and enforce safe work practices at the site; develop a safety culture with employee engagement as a core pillarPromote and enforce a culture of environmental compliance and stewardshipConduct regular environmental and safety audits and inspectionsResponsible for environmental and safety communication and reportingManage documentation as required to maintain compliance with all applicable standards ISO 14001 and 45001 program engagementResponsible for leadership of compliance trainingEnsure and support the timely completion of safety and environmental incident investigations, driving to root cause and corrective action implementationLead and provide oversight of employee health initiatives and programsManage contractor safety program and trainingLead site Safety CouncilMaintain emergency response system and protocol; train and execute drills/exercises on responsible management of emergency situationsQualifications/Skills/RequirementsBachelor's degree in environmental, occupational health and safety, or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in environmental, health and safety management in industrial settingKnowledge of OSHA Safety Standards, ANSI, NEC, NFPA RCRA, and/or Title V Air Permit experience; preferably for a Large Quantity GeneratorISO 14001 and ISO 45001 understanding and experienceExcellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills; strong coaching skillsAbility to understand technical processesStrong leadership skillsData analysis skillsProblem solving skillsProject management skillsRegular engagement with front line employees and operationsGood follow through skills, as well as heightened attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerpointEqual Opportunity Employer Mastrovito Associates
