Accounting Manager

About the role We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented accountant to support a portfolio of properties with their day-to-day financial needs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys partnering with on-property teams, digging into numbers, and helping hotels operate more effectively. What you'll do Property Support and Financial Oversight Act as a financial business partner to assigned properties, providing guidance, oversight, and support on day-to-day accounting functions. Collaborate with General Managers and department leaders to ensure alignment with financial goals, compliance with policies, and timely issue resolution. Daily Financial Reporting Prepare, input, and review daily financial reports for accuracy, consistency, and timely distribution across assigned properties. Bank Reconciliations Perform and review daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly. Accounts Payable Oversight Batch and process vendor payments; maintain vendor relationships; ensure timely resolution of payment inquiries or issues. Partner with property teams to ensure procurement systems are properly utilized and integrated into the payables process. Tax Compliance Prepare and submit applicable tax filings (e.g., sales, occupancy, or other local/state taxes) in compliance with property and jurisdictional requirements. System Administration Serve as the point of contact for accounting system maintenance and troubleshooting; manage user access, perform audits, and ensure data integrity. Bonus & Incentive Calculations Compile, calculate, and validate property-level bonus and incentive programs. Capital Project Accounting Track and report on capital project spend; ensure proper approval processes are followed, and expenses are booked to appropriate accounts. Payroll and Labor Management Oversee property payroll processing to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and labor regulations. Review labor reports for accuracy and trend analysis, validate payroll journals, and partner with property leadership to manage labor costs effectively while maintaining staffing efficiency. Qualifications 10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality Understanding of GAAP, USALI and general ledger practices Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (M3, Profitsword, etc.) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively Ability to build partnerships with property teams and cross-functional departments Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset Adaptability and willingness to support ongoing process improvements Confidentiality and integrity in handling financial data #J-18808-Ljbffr Generation Hospitality
