Our plumbers are highly respected and thus fairly compensated; an estimated $20.00 to $30.00 an hour depending on skills and experience. Service technicians are assigned take-home vehicles so they can drive directly to their first job, saving time, and head directly home at the end of the day. Plumbers use mobile apps for easy communication with the office, retrieve data on the job site, and quickly input description of work completed before heading to their next job. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install new and existing plumbing, water supply, drainage systems and gas lines
• Repair and maintain pipes, valves, fittings and fixtures in commercial and residential structures
• Diagnose and fix system issues such as clogged drains, faucet problems, broken lines
• Repair and replace commercial and residential water heaters in compliance with state regulations
• Competent in working with ABS, PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, brass and copper piping
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade (e.g. reamers, threading discs, pipe cutters, welders, etc)
• Operate equipment such as hydrojetter, trencher, line locators, cameras , snakes, and propress
• Inspect, troubleshoot and fix issues in a methodical and proficient manner
• Follow site maps, sketch and document building water systems
• Anticipate and stock truck with appropriate parts and materials needed for jobs assignments
• Manage personal job workload and driving times throughout the day
• Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed and materials used
• Utilize mobile scheduling software (Verizon Connect/Fleetmatics Work and Reveal)
• Learn and follow the operating procedures and plumbing methods of the company
• Quickly communicate with management problems that impact quality of customer service

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent, required
• Minimum 1-2 years of related work experience
• Lift and carry 75 lbs, work in extreme temperatures and dirty environments
• Ability to self-manage, show initiative and be proactive
• Ability to complete jobs unsupervised and unassisted
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, internet usage, email
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Working knowledge of plumbing state regulations and safety practices
• Exceptional customer service and client focus

WHICH IS YOUR SKILL LEVEL?

Plumber Apprentice – If you’re considering a career as a plumber, this is the entry-level class - no prior plumbing experience necessary. Incumbents in this classification receive on-the-job training to acquire plumbing skills and are closely supervised.

Plumber Journeyman – Employees within this class must have worked 1 to 2 years as an apprentice plumber and developed the skills and qualifications necessary to work multifaceted jobs. A journeyman will receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise, and may work in a leadership role helping to mentor and guide apprentices.

JOB TYPE:

• Full-time, occasional overtime
• Pay $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
• Valid driver’s license
• Pass criminal background and drug screening
• Must have own tools
