Our organization is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to join a fast-paced STAT Laboratory.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Diagnostic Testing: Execute waived to high-complexity tests in clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation, and basic blood banking.
- Ensure Rapid Turnaround: Maintain strict adherence to rapid STAT TAT goals to support critical clinical interventions.
- Quality Control & Maintenance: Perform, review, and document daily quality control (QC), instrument calibrations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Results Verification: Analyze, verify, and report patient test results accurately into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Critical Communication: Immediately communicate critical or panic values to attending physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams following protocol.
- Adhere strictly to safety, regulatory, and accreditation standards including CLIA, CAP, and OSHA.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related biological science.
- Licensure & Certification: Valid CA Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience; hospital or STAT/core lab experience strongly preferred.
- Skills: Excellent multitasking abilities, strong analytical skills, and the capacity to thrive under pressure in a high-urgency environment.
