Principal Analyst, Project Portfolio Management Technology

Vertex Pharmaceuticals

Principal Analyst role supporting project portfolio management and technology solutions delivery across business units at a biotechnology company. The position involves partnering with business leaders to implement commercial and custom systems while maintaining compliance and system reliability.

Responsibilities

Serve as trusted technical partner to business leaders, understanding needs and delivering aligned technology solutions
Evaluate, select, implement, and maintain commercial and custom technology solutions
Develop and maintain long-term lifecycle plans for system maintenance and management
Manage vendor and service provider relationships while ensuring regulatory compliance
Provide insights on technology improvements to enhance business processes and operational efficiency

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in technology discipline or equivalent
6 years relevant business systems experience in life sciences industry
Project management, business analysis, solution design, and testing expertise
Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership-building capabilities
System lifecycle management and Agile methodology experience
Proficiency with MS Project Server, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of IT managed services and outsourced team management

Compensation: $142,800 - $214,200 base
