CAD Technician II

CAD Technician – Mentor, Ohio As a CAD Technician in our Mentor, Ohio office, you'll work with a passionate team on impactful environmental, energy, water, survey, and civil infrastructure projects. You will create, revise, and maintain CAD drawings and records while ensuring compliance with industry and company standards. Responsibilities Create and revise complex CAD drawings, exhibits, and plans with minimal oversight Interpret sketches, specifications, and field notes to develop accurate technical drawings Perform design calculations and prepare equipment and material specifications Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure design intent is met Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and supporting documentation Assist in quality control reviews and ensure compliance with industry and company standards Support the development of CAD standards and mentor junior CAD staff as needed Stay current with CAD software updates and best practices Qualifications Associate's degree preferred 3+ years experience creating existing conditions surveys, including topographic and control drawings based on field-collected data and publicly available information Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation (Open Roads), or similar Relevant design experience in survey drafting, right-of-way, and utilities Ability to create plan and profile documents that conform with specifications Ability to work independently with minimal oversight Salary Range The compensation range starts at $28.00 per hour and is based on the position and experience.
