POSITION SUMMARY


We are seeking an experienced Audit Senior to lead and manage multiple audit engagements while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate will bring strong public accounting experience, demonstrated nonprofit audit expertise, and the ability to manage projects in a fast-paced environment.


TOP 5 ABSOLUTE MUST-HAVES (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

1. Minimum 3+ years of audit experience within a public accounting environment
2. Direct nonprofit audit experience required
3. Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting and financial reporting requirements
4. Experience with GAAP, audit procedures, internal controls, and financial statement preparation
5. Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements and competing priorities simultaneously

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage and execute multiple audit engagements simultaneously
• Build strong relationships with clients and serve as a trusted advisor
• Develop engagement timelines, budgets, and project plans
• Research and resolve technical audit and accounting issues
• Review and prepare financial statements and related disclosures
• Support engagement administration and audit procedures
• Assist with business development efforts and client growth initiatives
• Supervise, train, and mentor junior audit staff
• Maintain high-quality standards and ensure engagement completion within deadlines


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• CPA certification or active CPA track preferred
• Experience with Form 990 preparation and review
• Single audit experience preferred
• ERISA audit experience considered a plus
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
• Experience with QuickBooks and audit engagement software platforms
