Electronic Technician

Overview GDIT is a government contractor providing professional and technical services to defense agencies. We are looking for an Electronic Technician to support our government customer, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) on site in Point Mugu, CA. The role will work in the Marine Corps Spectrum Integration Lab (MCSIL) and focus on hardware such as the Intrepid Tiger II. Required Skills Experience reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings for fabrication, testing, and maintenance of weapon and avionics systems. Experience troubleshooting using standard and unique diagnostic test equipment. Experience constructing, repairing, splicing, soldering wiring, replacing coaxial, USB, Ethernet, and electrical connectors per MIL spec standards. Experience troubleshooting system failures using standard test equipment such as a Fluke meter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and US military test equipment for Electronic Combat Systems. Experience developing and executing established processes to simplify difficult to manufacture production line items and streamline procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness of products and implemented solutions. Experience setting up, calibrating, and testing RF equipment and components to compare against manufacturer specifications. Experience using precision measurements on a variety of electronic equipment such as an Agilent series Spectrum Analyzer (26.5 GHz), RF Signal Generator (20 GHz), Signal Source Analyzer (7 GHz), Noise Figure Analyzer (26.5 GHz), Dual Channel Power Meter, and Digital Oscilloscope (500 MHz). Qualifications Must be a US Citizen. Current Secret Clearance required to start. 2+ years of experience. Self‑motivated with the ability to maintain excellence with minimum supervision. Experience working with tight deadlines and handling escalations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
