An Outside Sales Representative / Territory Sales Representative / Business Development Representative is required to develop new business across North Carolina, selling commercial HVAC equipment to mechanical contractors, HVAC contractors and commercial construction customers.

Offering an $85,000 base salary, uncapped commission at 12%, realistic first-year OTE of $125,000–$145,000 and a monthly vehicle allowance plus fuel expenses, this position provides the opportunity to build your own sales territory with established inside sales, quotation and order management support.

The Outside Sales Representative will focus predominantly on new business development, securing commercial HVAC equipment packages for construction projects and building long-term relationships across North Carolina.

The Outside Sales Representative / Territory Sales Representative / Business Development Representative Role:

• Develop new business opportunities across commercial and light commercial HVAC markets throughout North Carolina.
• Build relationships with mechanical contractors, HVAC contractors, consulting engineers, design/build firms and general contractors.
• Sell commercial HVAC equipment, including packaged rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, VRF systems, ductless equipment and commercial heating solutions.
• Identify commercial construction projects requiring complete HVAC equipment packages.
• Develop opportunities across hospitality, municipal, government and industrial customers.
• Manage sales opportunities from initial inquiry through quotation, negotiation and order placement.
• Collaborate with inside sales and technical teams to prepare competitive proposals and support customers.
• Travel throughout the assigned territory to meet customers, visit projects and develop new accounts.

Outside Sales Representative / Territory Sales Representative / Business Development Representative Requirements:

• Experience in HVAC sales, wholesale distribution, mechanical contracting or a related industry.
• Experience as an Outside Sales Representative, Territory Sales Representative, Business Development Representative, HVAC Sales Representative or similar commercial sales role, or a relevant contractor-side background.
• Good understanding of residential and/or light commercial HVAC equipment, systems and applications.
• Proven ability to generate new business and develop long-term B2B customer relationships.
• Experience selling to mechanical contractors, HVAC contractors or commercial customers.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a field-based sales position.

Desirable Experience:

• Experience selling commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, VRF, ductless or split systems.
• Experience engaging consulting engineers, design/build contractors or general contractors.
• HVAC estimating, project management or contractor-side experience combined with strong commercial skills.
