Business Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a Business Analyst to support the development and delivery of digital healthcare solutions within an Agile environment. This role is responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, translating business needs into actionable user stories, managing product backlogs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital products. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare, benefits administration, or product development, along with strong business analysis and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technology teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.

• Translate business needs into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

• Create, prioritize, refine, and maintain the product backlog to align with business objectives.

• Conduct business analysis to identify solutions for complex business challenges.

• Develop use cases, process flows, functional specifications, and product documentation.

• Facilitate backlog refinement sessions, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies.

• Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to elicit and validate product requirements.

• Collaborate with User Experience (UX) teams to support prototyping and solution design.

• Work closely with development, QA, business stakeholders, and external vendors throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validate business requirements, and ensure successful solution delivery.

• Assist with deployment planning, business readiness, user documentation, training, and solution enablement.

• Prioritize multiple initiatives while effectively managing competing business analysis activities.

• Facilitate meetings, communicate project status, and build consensus among stakeholders.

• Identify opportunities to improve business processes and enhance digital customer experiences.

• Provide guidance and support to project teams and leadership throughout product development initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 3-5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Business Analyst.

• Experience working in Agile Scrum environments.

• Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements.

• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing product backlogs.

• Experience conducting business analysis, use case development, process analysis, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Knowledge of healthcare, benefits administration, or digital product development.

• Understanding of web application architecture and software development processes.

• Experience working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and cross-functional teams.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

• Experience using Jira or similar Agile project management tools.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification.

• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification.

• Experience supporting digital healthcare applications or healthcare technology platforms.

• Experience collaborating with UX design teams during product development.

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale Agile product delivery initiatives.
